The Miss Nelson County Pageant had its new beginning in November of 1999.  With our winners starting off our new pageants start with millennium titles.

We started with 6 division and had 51 contestants.  Since 2000, the Miss Nelson Pageant formed its own Relay for Life team, Princesses With A Purpose. In 2005, the Princesses With A Purpose team started a fundraising pageant titled Miss Belle of Virginia.  As you can see the Miss Nelson County Pageant and its girls have come a long way since 1999.

Having a pageant like ours,  requires much help and so I would like to thank those who have helped make the pageant the success it has been year after year.

          Assistant Director - Tanya Bodek

Back Stage Helpers - Karen Mooney & Mary Ramsey

Refreshments - Mitch & Suzanne Berry,  & Denise Berry

I know that there are many more that help and I thank you all!  From the parents of the contestants to the judges/auditors.  THANK YOU!

Your Executive Director:

Deborah Berry, started her journey down the road of pageants in 1979.  Since that time , Deborah has not only won titles herself, but she had judged, choreographed, coached many girls and been the MC of many pageants.   In 1989, Deborah won what she felt to be her most important title.  Miss Nelson County. Winning this title allowed her to compete in the Miss Virginia Pageant and gain knowledge, experience, and larger passion for the pageant industry. In 2001, Deborah won the title of Mrs. Virginia Achievement  She and her husband, Keith have a daughter named Brooke, who also enjoys the world of pageantry.
